Google Backup Button Greyed Out

I ask here because i would like to avoid installing adb. Hope google can solve out the issue by next mont update. The back up now button under settings system google backup back up to google drive is greyed out and inaccessible.

Normally on all my other android devices opening that shows a box that allows me to pick the google account i want to backup.

Google backup button greyed out. Open organize and make changes to any of your files. If you disable the screen lock by not securing the oneplus with a code or password then go back to backup the backup now button is now enabled but as soon as you put screen lock back on it greys out again. The problem gets unmasked when they incidentally check android settings. Another person solved the issue through the adb debugger.

I have the screen lock set and the google backup now button is grayed out.

The backup now button is on blue now then you are able to backup to the google drive. Under backup reset the backup account section and grayed out and can t be opened. The backup completed and then i went back to the lock screen security settings and put the gesture and fingerprints back on it and the back up now button was greyed out and disabled once again. If i go to setting system backup under google backup the backup now button is greyed out.

Android pie has a native manual back up to google drive. Once you finished you can set the pin or passworg back for security and the backup now turn grayed again. I did some googling and found a temp fix which worked for another android device.
